MIND YOUR FANGS- A wonderful new review!

Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
Author Gerri Bowen pulls off an amazing fete with her ability to bundle the social world of Old England into a neat little package and then unwrap it page by page right in front of our eyes. On the surface, Lydia, a young Sunshine Vampire, is trying to stretch out beyond family and take her place in broader society. In the process she becomes infatuated with a widower who is midstream in his proper mourning period. Deeper down, Lydia could be replaced by almost any young person in any society at any time. Therein lays the genius of Bowen. Every reader can relate to this story; every person experiences the universal needs of affiliation and approval; and we’ve all tried to fit in by managing our impressions on others, a process that includes camouflaging our self known flaws. That Bowen can compress all this into the space of a novella and make it a fun and exciting read at the same time attests to her ability as a first rate scribe. I highly recommend Mind Your Fangs for readers of all ages.
